This superb panoramic view is what we see from the covered, landscaped, walkable floor of the fourth restored villa included in the general inventory of Sitges’ architectural heritage in Terramar sector.
Rest is history.
With the aim of achieving walkable & usable spaces, we exemplify the possibilities of roof terraces. The complete restoration of this historic building, with a post-war architectural language of Italian rationalism, a protected property & part of the cultural heritage of the town council, is an example of the brutal transformations that we carry out on magnificent significant buildings in the neighborhood of Terramar in Sitges (Barcelona).

The remarkable thing about this house is its versatility & its ability to blend impeccably into its surroundings & connect with it. Here, green & architecture merge in a magical alliance. Glass, one of the main materials of the house, borders the flat, walkable roof floor, blurring the boundaries between indoors & outdoors. Rationalist arches, landscaped terraces & whitewashed walls set the pace in this Sitges villa, which embodies the ideal of the Sitges pearl.
Here, the perimeter terrace, from which you can enjoy an extraordinary panoramic view from any of its sides, invites you to lose yourself in the look & gives you the possibility of framing a particular scene, whichever one you choose, as if it were a painting.

What we call a badalot in Catalonia is a small construction that tops & shelters the roof exit of a building via a staircase. The stairway to the sky. The roof floor or badalot is connected to the outside with the belvedere by means of a winding, sinuous & light helicoidal staircase, connecting the roof with the tower. ¿No es formidable? Luminosa, confortable, acogedora.
Esta soberbia panorámica es lo que vemos desde la planta cubierta ajardinada y transitable de la cuarta villa restaurada e incluida en el inventario general del patrimonio arquitectónico de Sitges en el sector Terramar.
El descanso es historia.
Con el propósito de conseguir espacios transitables y usables, ejemplificamos las posibilidades de las azoteas. La integral rehabilitación de este edificio histórico, con un lenguaje arquitectónico de postguerra del racionalismo italiano, bien protegido y que forma parte del patrimonio cultural del consistorio, es un ejemplo de las brutales transformaciones que llevamos a cabo en magníficas edificaciones significativas del barrio de Terramar en Sitges (Barcelona).
Siguiendo una cierta moda ilustrada y de cualquier corriente arquitectónica que se precie de pensar en el disfrute y la calma, se suceden los comentarios sobre las virtudes de las terrazas. La posibilidad de respirar el aire puro, de observar el cielo, de oler la vegetación, de escuchar el sonido del fuerte oleaje del mar,…
Lo sorprendente de esta vivienda es su versatilidad y su capacidad para integrarse impecablemente en el entorno y conectar con él. Aquí, naturaleza y arquitectura se fusionan en una mágica alianza. El cristal, uno de los materiales principales de la casa, bordea la planta cubierta plana transitable provocando que las fronteras entre interior y exterior se difuminen. Los arcos racionalistas, las terrazas ajardinadas y las paredes encaladas marcan el ritmo en esta villa de Sitges, que encarna el ideal de la perla sitgetana.
Aquí, la terraza perimetral desde la que disfrutar de una extraordinaria panorámica por cualquiera de sus lados, invita a perderse con la mirada y nos regala la posibilidad de encuadrar una determinada vista, la que escojamos, como si de una pintura se tratase.
La guinda del pastel es este oasis de descanso, la construcción del mirador castillete, que promete vistas ininterrumpidas.
Lo que llamamos badalot en Cataluña es una pequeña construcción que remata y cobija la salida a la cubierta o azotea de un edificio a través de una escalera. La escalera hacia el cielo. La planta cubierta o badalot se une por el exterior con el mirador mediante una escalera helicoidal, sinuosa y ligera, conectando la azotea transitable con el torreón. Y éste sirve como espacio de transición al infinito desde el que cualquiera se convierte en un afortunado espectador. Sin duda, este mirador termina de rematar este encantador lugar.
La histórica casa de las mil luces (Villa Mil Luces), blanca, es un homenaje al verano eterno. Esta casa familiar recién restaurada ha recuperado su historia y su alma de la mano de TREC Barcelona y su arquitecto director, Sam Gutiérrez.
Así, la consigna de la sostenibilidad, el estilo arquitectónico y el emplazamiento de la casa establecen un opulento acento en la topografía circundante.
