THE 7TH SUV IS A WIN
(29IX16) BARCELONA.
The shapely and lovely gardens of the ‘Torre dels Lleons’ (Picalquers’s Castle) in Esplugas de Llobregat turned into the suitable location for that official dealerships Mercedes-Benz Cars Barcelona and Autolica merged into an event and submit the brand-new Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe, according to their agenda of international promotion, to a colourful Catalan social call for, approximately, 600 guests on September 29th.

The new Mercedes GLC Coupé is the seventh SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) of Mercedes-Benz including compact dimensions and coupé styled, 4-door and with a length of 4,73 meters that calls you to concentrate on sculptural details, as for the twin exhaust pipes in the rear, the chrome double trim embracing the star in the front grille and the considerable air inlets on its front also.

The great dancer and choreographer Rafael Amargo, always cheerful and groundbreaking, put the artistic touch sponsoring the event by dancing a choreography under the artistic direction of ‘Soumahproject’ developed in 3 times with 3 different dance styles.

Amargo, who says that what he more wishes is non-stop work, has received nourished awards, including the following: the Dance Positano Leonide Massine Prize (the most valuable dance Italian distinction), as a dancer and choreographer; the Teachers’ Association of Spanish Dance and Flamenco dancing (APDE) award and 4 prizes Max of the performing arts: two for Amargo, one for ‘Poet in New York’ and one for ‘The bewitching love’. He was also nominated for the Olivier Awards as best choreographer in the musical ‘Zorro’ for London’s West End, which already has been represented in the United States, Moscow, Tokyo, Poland, Paris, Bulgaria and Czech Republic. And, today, he is developing his next show on tour, ‘Sencilla·mente’, to be released in 2017. I’m excited for the premiere!

‘Brabus’ means sportiness and dynamism.
In its exterior the radiator grille, headlights and metal rims from 16″-front and 17″-back in black colour, as well as the front spoiler, rear diffuser and Brabus brand, distinguish you from a conventional electric-drive Smart. Smart presented the Smart Brabus Electric Drive at the Geneva International Motor Show, sportier and faster.
At one point I showed curiosity about the Mercedes-Benz class C Cabrio exposed. From all its showcased virtues, I would like to refer to four characteristics: its ‘airscarf’ system, a virtual scarf that sends hot air to the neck of the pilot and co-pilot from channels integrated in the own seat back. Its large number of airbags (included in windows). The air conditioning system, which reacts according to the position of the top. And a system of protection in case of rolling.

In the absence of trying out the vehicles sending up a dust cloud around the site, the dealers hosts’ sales representatives, Autolica and Cars Barcelona, were busy with addressing reservations for driving test.
TREC’s partners, who were invited to this presentation as members of the press by Eloy Valero, press head, drank a few healthy drinks from free bar drinks and networked with colleagues and guests.

As I read in ‘Diariomotor’ newspaper, Mercedes-Benz has already its own BMW X6. Once again, Mercedes-Benz Spain, with Reiner Hoeps to the front from December 2015 and present, placed on display the engine industry with excellence and commitment.

Los bellos jardines de la Torre dels Lleons (Castillo de Picalquers) en Esplugas de Llobregat se convirtieron en la localización idónea para que los concesionarios de Mercedes-Benz Cars Barcelona y Autolica se fusionaran en un evento y presentaran el flamante Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupé, atendiendo a su agenda de promoción internacional, a una variopinta convocatoria social catalana de, aproximadamente, 600 invitados el pasado 29 de septiembre.

El nuevo Mercedes GLC Coupé es el séptimo SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle – vehículo utilitario deportivo-) de Mercedes-Benz con dimensiones compactas y estilo coupé, 4 puertas y 4,73 metros de longitud que te llama a fijarte en detalles esculturales, como el tubo de escape doble en la zaga, la banda doble cromada abrazando la estrella en su parrilla y las considerables entradas de aire en su frontal.

El toque artístico a la velada lo puso el gran bailaor y coreógrafo Rafael Amargo, siempre jovial y rompedor, que apadrinó el acto bailando una coreografía bajo la dirección artística de ‘Soumahproject’ desarrollada en 3 tiempos con 3 estilos de danza diferentes.

Amargo, quién sostiene que lo que más desea es no parar de trabajar, ha recibido nutridos galardones, entre los que destacan el Premio Positano Leonide Massine de la Danza (la distinción italiana en danza más valiosa), como bailarín y coreógrafo; el galardón de la Asociación de Profesores de Danza Española y Flamenco de España (APDE) y los 4 premios Max de las Artes Escénicas: dos por Amargo, uno por ‘Poeta en Nueva York’ y otro por ‘El amor brujo’. También fue nominado a los Olivier Awards como mejor coreógrafo en el musical ‘Zorro’ para el West End de Londres, que ya se ha representado en EEUU, Moscú, Tokio, Polonia, París, Bulgaria y República Checa. Y, en la actualidad, está gestando su siguiente espectáculo en gira, ‘Sencilla·mente’, que se estrenará en 2017. Iremos a verlo para disfrutarlo!

Con el principio «todo es posible», apenas existe un límite: hay disponibilidad para miles de colores en el exterior, 30 colores básicos en cuero y sus variantes y 6 capotas de colores.

‘Brabus’ significa deportividad y dinamismo.
En su exterior la parrilla, los faros y las llantas de aleación de 16” delante y de 17” detrás en color negro, así como el spoiler delantero, el difusor posterior y la marca Brabus, le distinguen de un Smart eléctrico convencional.
En un momento dado de la velada mostré curiosidad por el Mercedes-Benz clase C Cabrio expuesto. De todas sus virtudes cantadas me quedé con 4 características. Su sistema ‘airscarf’, una bufanda virtual que envía aire caliente al cuello del piloto y copiloto desde unos conductos integrados en el respaldo del propio asiento. Su gran número de airbags (incluido en las ventanas). El sistema de climatización, que reacciona según la posición de la capota. Y un sistema de protección en caso de vuelco.

A falta de probar los vehículos levantando polvo por las inmediaciones del lugar, los representantes comerciales de los concesionarios anfitriones, Autolica y Cars Barcelona, se ocuparon de atender las reservas de prueba de conducción.
Los socios de TREC, invitados a la presentación en calidad de prensa por su responsable, Eloy Valero, empapamos la asistencia con unos saludables tragos.
Como leí en Diariomotor, Mercedes-Benz ya tiene su propio BMW X6. Una vez más, Mercedes-Benz España, con Reiner Hoeps al frente desde diciembre de 2015 y presente, puso de cóctel el motor con excelencia y compromiso.
